Brand and model
Established, widely installed brands — Square D, Siemens, Eaton/Cutler-Hammer, GE, ABB, Westinghouse — have deep secondary-market demand, so they hold value well. Discontinued and obsolete models can command a premium because new replacements are scarce or no longer made.
Breaker type
Type matters more than almost anything else. Common residential load-center breakers are worth a few dollars each, while bolt-on panelboard breakers, molded-case breakers (MCCBs), and insulated-case or low-voltage power breakers move up sharply in value as you go.
Amperage and frame size
